Doug Martin (hamstring) will be active for Buccaneers in Week 10
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin (hamstring, questionable) will be active Week 10 against the Chicago Bears, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Tampa Bay waived Russell Hansbrough, a sure sign Martin will be active after getting in a full practice Friday. Martin will likely play limited snaps in his first game action since Week 2. Peyton Barber will serve as the backup and should see plenty of work as well.
Our models project Barber as the 26th-best fantasy back, with 68 yards from scrimmage and 0.28 touchdowns on 14 total touches. Martin should be limited, and we peg him for 33 yards from scrimmage and 0.28 touchdowns on 8 touches.
