Broncos believe Derek Wolfe (elbow) is day-to-day
Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe (elbow) is merely "day to day," head coach Gary Kubiak insisted Monday.
Kubiak said Wolfe's injury is "not as bad as we thought" after reports had Wolfe dealing with a fractured elbow. Still, it would be a major surprise to see Wolfe in the lineup ahead of Denver's Week 11 bye. The absences of Wolfe and cornerback Aqib Talib (back) will make life slightly easier on the New Orleans Saints' offense this week.
The Broncos' defense allowed the Oakland Raiders to earn 1.89 Net Expected Points (NEP) on 31 passing plays in Week 9, but limited them to -2.56 NEP on 12 rushing plays, per numberFire Live.
