Paul Perkins' role with Giants likely to increase
New York Giants running back Paul Perkins' offensive role to "increase," but "not as much as people seem to think," ESPN reporter Jordan Raanan expects.
"At least not immediately," Raanan added. The Giants need to fix their run game somehow, but Perkins doesn't figure to be the answer coming out of the bye week. Rashad Jennings, Orleans Darkwa, and Bobby Rainey are all also in the picture. They need to settle on one. Jennings led the backfield in snaps last time out and figures to get the first nod Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Our models project Jennings for 39 rushing yards and 0.34 touchdowns on 10 carries, added to 2 receptions for 17 yards receiving in Week 8. He's our 21st-highest fantasy back for the week.
