Jets to give Geno Smith real starting chance
The New York Jets will give quarterback Geno Smith a "fair chance" to keep the starting job, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
They might as well, given how poorly previous starter Ryan Fitzpatrick has played this year. Even if he struggles -- which seems likely -- Smith should have a relatively long leash. The Jets rostered four quarterbacks this season, but unfortunately none of them are good. With the season all but lost for New York, Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg could also see playing time late in the season if Geno proves he's not the future.
Smith is our 30th-best quarterback for fantasy in Week 7, with a projected 213 passing yards, 0.90 touchdowns, an 1.36 interceptions on 36 passing attempts.
