Eddie Lacy

Eddie Lacy (ankle), top corners officially ruled out for Packers Week 7

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy (ankle) has been officially ruled out for Week 7 against the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football.

What It Means:

This was expected, as Lacy is facing a multi-week absence. The Packers will also be without cornerbacks Damarious Randall (groin) and Quinten Rollins (groin) in their secondary. Lacy joins running back James Starks (knee) on the shelf, while fellow cornerback Sam Shields (concussion) has been keeping things warm on a crowded Green Bay bench since Week 2. Knile Davis, Randall Cobb, Ty Montgomery and practice-squad running back Don Jackson are all expected to see work out of the backfield, with Montgomery likely making for the best fantasy option. On the other side of the ball, Brian Hoyer makes for a fantastic streaming option while Alshon Jeffery and Cameron Meredith are going to have their mouths full from eating so much on Thursday night.

Our models currently expect Montgomery to total 68 yards and 0.21 touchdowns on 7 touches versus the Packers, but it sounds like he could be in store for a larger workload.
