Don Jackson sees first-team running back work for Packers
Green Bay Packers practice-squad running back Don Jackson and wide receiver Ty Montgomery worked with the first-team offense at running back on Tuesday.
Jackson is fully expected to be promoted from the practice squad on Wednesday and should be an immediate factor in the backfield Thursday night against the Bears. Eddie Lacy (ankle) and James Starks (knee) are out multiple weeks, so the Packers need to mix and match in the backfield for the time being. All four of Jackson, Montgomery, Randall Cobb, and Knile Davis could see snaps.
Our algorithms project Montgomery for 68 yards from scrimmage and 0.21 total touchdowns on 8 touches in Week 7.
