49ers' Navorro Bowman carted off field with lower-leg injury
San Francisco 49ers inside linebacker Navorro Bowman was carted off the field after suffering a non-contact lower-leg injury in Sunday's game versus the Dallas Cowboys.
What It Means:
It's a huge loss for San Francisco. Bowman was limping badly, had his shoe removed by trainers on the sideline, and eventually made his way into the locker room on the cart. Bowman has struggled in pass coverage since tearing his ACL and MCL in 2013, but he is the 49ers' best run stopper.
The 49ers' defense has allowed Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott to earn 6.82 Net Expected Points in Week 4, per numberFire Live.
