Josh Gordon

Josh Gordon's time with Browns likely done

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has played his last snap for the team, believes the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Akron Beacon-Journal.

What It Means:

Gordon is "not expected to receive another shot with this regime," according to Nate Ulrich of the Beacon-Journal. It's shocking that he had this many chances to begin with, but talent talks. It's reassuring that Gordon is checking into rehab and trying to get his life on track, but his fantasy relevance is non-existent until further notice. Gordon is only 25-years-old, but there's no guarantee he plays another down in the NFL.

Prior to the news, Gordon was projected to finish the 2016 season with 62 receptions for 785 yards receiving and 4.48 touchdowns. The majority of that production will likely go to Terrelle Pryor, with rookie first-round pick Corey Coleman (hand) also seeing a fair chunk when he returns from injury. We previously expected Pryor to record 701 receiving yards and 2.79 touchdowns on 52 catches over the remainder of the year.
