Steelers' second-rounder Senquez Golson may undergo season-ending shoulder surgery
Cornerback Senquez Golson, whom the Pittsburgh Steelers selected in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft, may undergo season-ending shoulder surgery.
Golson has been on the physically unable to perform list since the start of training camp. Golson was a unanimous All-American last year and had 10 interceptions last season at Ole Miss as well.
This is a big blow to Pittsburgh, a team that finished 26th in pass defense last season, according to our Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points metric, which compares a team to expectation-level production. Pittsburgh traded a conditional fifth-round pick on Saturday night to the Philadelphia Eagles for cornerback Brandon Boykin.
