Dolphins could feature full-blown committee in backfield
The Miami Dolphins could use a full-blown running back by committee with Arian Foster (groin) likely out Week 3 against the Cleveland Browns, suggested head coach Adam Gase.
Making up the committee are Jay Ajayi, Kenyan Drake, Damien Williams and Isaiah Pead. Gase says practice this week will be used to determine who earns the start against the Browns and it could be a true round-robin approach. The Dolphins have the third-fewest team rushing attempts in the league, making this a situation to avoid. Expect more volume for Ryan Tannehill and Miami's collection of pass-catchers.
Among the 42 backs to rush at least 15 times this season, Foster ranks 32nd in Rushing Net Expected Points per play.
