Jeremy Mincey receives pay raise from Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Jeremy Mincey received a $500,000 raise for 2015. Mincey is entering a contract year, and both sides are still negotiating an extension.

What It Means:

The Cowboys have also waived Mincey's fines for not reporting to training camp on time. He was 11 snaps shy of a $500,000 bonus last season.

Mincey started every game last season and led the Cowboys with 6.0 sacks and 39 quarterback pressures. He currently sits atop the Cowboys depth chart at left defensive end. The Cowboys will need to improve on their pass rush, as they ranked in the bottom five in the NFL in sacks last season. The Cowboys also ranked in the bottom-10 in our schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points metric. We predict Mincey to finish the year with 40 tackles and 7.0 sacks this season.
