Seahawks sign Bobby Wagner to four-year extension
The Seattle Seahawks have signed linebacker Bobby Wagner to a four-year, $43 million extension.
Wagner becomes the highest paid middle linebacker in the NFL with this deal. He has registered more than 100 tackles during each of his first three seasons. The Seahawks began their eight-game winning streak on their way to the Super Bowl after Wagner returned from injury in Week 12 last season.
Wagner will be the centerpiece of a defense that ranked in the top-five in both our Adjusted Defensive Rushing and Passing Net Expected Points metric last season. We project him to finish the season with 111 tackles, 4.0 sacks and one interception.
