Panthers, Kawann Short not expected to reach deal
Carolina Panthers defensive tackle Kawann Short is not expected to reach a deal with the team before the season, Steve Reed of The Associated Press reports.
What It Means:
Negotiations could continue following the 2016 season, but Short may elect to take his talents elsewhere via free agency at that point. The Panthers still have their franchise tag available as an option.
Our models expect Short to record 50.57 tackles, 11.55 sacks, 2.94 defended passes and 1.10 recovered fumbles this season.
