Browns pick up George Atkinson III off waivers
The Cleveland Browns claimed running back George Atkinson III off waivers from the Oakland Raiders.
What It Means:
The rebuilding Browns were the league's most aggressive team on waivers, claiming Atkinson among four others players. His addition meant the end of Terrell Watson's Browns tenure.
Atkinson rushed 19 times for an eye-popping 191 yards this preseason (10.05 yards per carry) with the Raiders. He'll serve as depth behind Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson.
