Andre Williams not a lock for Giants' 53-man roster
New York Giants running back Andrew Williams ran the ball 10 times for 35 yards on Thursday, entering the game after both Orleans Darkwa and Paul Perkins in the Giants' preseason finale.
Being the third back on the field in the final preseason game is not a good sign for Williams' chances of surviving roster cuts, especially when the team's top two backs were not playing.
Over the past two seasons, there have been 145 instances of a running back seeing at least 50 carries. Williams' 2015 campaign was very nearly the worst in the group, ranking 141st among them in Rushing Net Expected Points per carry and 144th in Rushing Success Rate.
