Ryan Kerrigan (groin) injured in Washington's third preseason contest

Washington outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan exited the third preseason game with a groin injury.

What It Means:

Kerrigan said his groin was a little sore heading into the game, and it tightened up early in the game, so he had an MRI on Saturday. With Junior Galette (Achilles) already out for the season, Washington cannot afford to be without their top pass-rusher.

Washington ranked 17th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play in 2015. Our algorithms projected Kerrigan for 72.45 tackles and 13.15 sacks in 2016 prior to this injury.
