Roberto Aguayo

Buccaneers' Roberto Aguayo struggling through first preseason games

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie kicker Roberto Aguayo has missed two field goals and an extra point through two preseason games.

What It Means:

The Bucs traded up to draft Aguayo in the second round of this year's draft, but so far he's not made them look like geniuses for doing so. Aguayo's hit just 3-of-5 field goals with misses from 32 and 49 yards out. "I wouldn't say [I'm] worried," said head coach Dirk Koetter. "But this is the NFL, man. They're paid to make kicks. He knows it and I know it—everybody knows it." Aguayo was a three-time All-American at Florida State and should be able to turn things around.

Our algorithms project Aguayo to hit 23 of 28 attempts this year, but project him as just the 27th-best kicker for fantasy purposes on the season.
