Vance Walker (ACL) hits Broncos' season-ending injured reserve
The Denver Broncos placed defensive end Vance Walker (ACL) on season-ending injured reserve.
He was headed for a starting role at defensive end before tearing his right ACL at Monday's practice. It looks like former Houston Texans defensive end Jared Crick will get first crack at replacing him on the edge.
Crick picked up 48 tackles and 2.0 sacks in a very part-time role for Houston in 2015. Our algorithms project the Denver defense to carry its number-one ranking from 2015 over to 2016, as we project them to top the league once again in Defensive Net Expected Points.
