Browns' Josh McCown will cost teams at least 4th-round pick
The price tag for Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown is "believed to be no less than a fourth-round pick," according to Yahoo's Charles Robinson.
Robinson mentioned this while discussing the Dallas Cowboys' current backup quarterback situation, which is in need of an upgrade over rookie Dak Prescott. McCown is valued more for his leadership and football knowledge in Cleveland, than he is for his on-field contributions. The Browns are attempting to rebuild Robert Griffin III as their starter, while also developing third-round selection Cody Kessler. They may elect to keep McCown as insurance, but the Browns are likely playing hardball with Dallas.
Among 46 passers with at least 100 drop backs last season, McCown ranked 19th in Passing Net Expected Points per attempt.
