Sean Davis takes primary Steelers' slot duties for Senquez Golson
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie defensive back Sean Davis has initially taken cornerback Senquez Golson's (Lisfranc) spot in the slot.
The Steelers had insisted the rookie hybrid defensive back would be a strong safety, but they're getting desperate at cornerback. Cornerback William Gay is another option if Davis isn't up to the challenge, or if the Steelers feel they need him at safety.
The Steelers' defense -- for all of their reported troubles -- still ranked 11th in the league in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points last season.
