Jared Abbrederis may benefit if Packers roster seven wide receivers
The Green Bay Packers may keep seven wide receivers on the final roster, Packers.com's Wes Hodkiewicz said.
Hodkiewicz specifically said it is not "out of the realm of possibilities." Green Bay only kept five receivers last season, but they also kept three quarterbacks and two fullbacks. The Packers will have some extra room, due to the release of Scott Tolzien and John Kuhn. This could allow roster bubble wideouts Jared Abbrederis, Ty Montgomery, or fifth-round rookie Trevor Davis to secure a role.
Our algorithms project Montgomery for 7 catches for 80 yards receiving and 0.48 touchdowns. Abbrederis checks in with a projected 6 receptions for 64 yards. The wideouts below Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, and Davante Adams aren't really worth drafting in standard fantasy formats.
