Panthers waive running back Darrin Reaves
The Carolina Panthers have waived running back Darrin Reaves.
Reaves had a brief dance with fantasy football relevance last year, but he was too inefficient with his rushing to stick around for the Panthers.
The Panthers were the 24th-best rushing team in the league last year, according to our schedule-adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) metric. Reaves, according to his Rushing NEP score, lost the Panthers 7.05 points with his 32 carries, a -0.22 per-carry rate. That ranked 89th among the 94 backs who carried the ball at least 25 times last season.
