Running back Chris Johnson to the Cowboys?
Free agent running back Chris Johnson has "been in contact" with the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys currently lack reliable options at running back after the departure of DeMarco Murray, with Joseph Randle projected as their lead rusher this season.
Johnson posted a poor -7.40 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) total to rank in the bottom 40 among all running backs last year. The Cowboys have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, but seeing that Chris Johnson will be 30 years old next season and he's been inefficient since his 2,000-yard campaign in 2009, per our numbers, don't get too excited.
