DeVante Parker (concussion) still out Thursday for Patriots
New England Patriots wide receiver DeVante Parker (concussion) did not practice again on Thursday for Week 9 against the Washington Commanders.
What It Means:
Parker suffered a concussion on Sunday and is trending toward missing his second game of the season. Kendrick Bourne suffered a season-ending ACL tear in the game, so if Parker doesn't clear protocol in time, Demario Douglas, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Jalen Reagor will be the Patriots' top receivers in Week 9.
The Commanders are allowing the second-most FanDuel points per game to receivers this season and their pass defense is ranked 28th in numberFire's opponent-adjusted NEP model, so the Patriots' ragtag receiving crew will at least have a plus matchup. JuJu is the WR37 and Douglas is the WR43 in our Week 9 PPR rankings.
