Bears' Marquess Wilson could open year on physically unable to perform (PUP) list
Chicago Bears wide receiver Marquess Wilson (foot) is expected to open the season on reserve/PUP list, according to the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs.
Last week at minicamp, Wilson re-broke his left foot and had to undergo surgery earlier this week. The surgery will keep him sidelined. If Wilson officially ends up on the PUP list, he'll have to sit out until at least after Week 6. Biggs expects Josh Bellamy to replace Wilson as the team's No. 4 receiver with Wilson out.
Wilson did put together a fairly efficient 2015 season, totaling 0.76 Reception Net Expected Points per target, good for 33rd among the 86 receivers to see 50-plus targets on the year.
