Colts give Jonathan Taylor permission to seek trade
The Indianapolis Colts have granted running back Jonathan Taylor permission to seek a trade.
The Colts are reportedly seeking a first round pick or equivalent value in draft picks for Taylor, who has been seeking a new contract with the team to no avail. Taylor still averaged 4.5 yards per carry and 78.3 yards per game despite playing through serious ankle injuries for the Colts' crumbling offense last year and would be an incredible addition to virtually any offense in the league.
Taylor was almost able to single-handedly drag the Colts to the playoffs in 2021 in spite of poor quarterback play from Carson Wentz, amassing over 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns from scrimmage during the course of that season. Injuries slowed him down in 2022, but the uber-talented back is still in his prime at just 24. It's unclear how long Taylor's holdout may or may not continue.
