Ravens activating J.K. Dobbins (undisclosed) off PUP list
Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins will be activated off the Physically Unable to Perform list Monday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Dobbins has enough time to ramp up for the start of the season after he missed the first few weeks of training camp. The Ravens declined to explain why Dobbins was on the PUP list, leading to speculation that the 2020 second-round pick was disgruntled with his contract situation ahead of the final year of his rookie deal. Dobbins is expected to be Baltimore's lead back this season, but Gus Edwards is also expected to be involved and Lamar Jackson is a constant threat to scramble for a score.
Dobbins is the RB25 in numberFire's preseason rankings. Our models project him for 238.0 carries, 1,073.2 rushing yards, 32.0 targets, 23.6 receptions, 166.2 receiving yards, and 8.60 touchdowns this season. Edwards is projected for 108.1 rush attempts and 525.5 rushing yards.
