Texans' Vince Wilfork thinks he has a few more NFL years to go
Houston Texans nose tackle Vince Wilfork said he still has "a couple more good years."
Wilfork will be 35 in November, but he does not think his body will break down anytime soon. "I think, mentally, it'll go before my body will," he said. "To play this game, you have to be mentally there. If you're not mentally there, I don't care who you are. You won't make it." Wilfork is only a two-down player at this point, but he remained one of the top run-stuffing nose tackles in the league last season. If he is able to stay healthy, there is little reason to expect a falloff this year.
The Texans finished third in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play. In limited snaps, Wilfork picked up 22 total tackles in 2015.
