Stephon Gilmore GTD

Bills have not extended Stephon Gilmore at $15 million per year

The Buffalo Bills have "no intention" of giving contract-year cornerback Stephon Gilmore $15 million per season on a new deal, the Buffalo News' Vic Carucci reports.

What It Means:

That's Josh Norman money after Washington handed Norman a five-year, $75 million pact this offseason. Gilmore is a rising star but is coming off shoulder surgery and so far unestablished as "elite". According to Carucci, the Bills will go as high as $12.5 to $13 million per year on an extension. They'll have the franchise tag as an option next year, but Gilmore has threatened to hold out of training camp this summer.

Buffalo ended 2015 ranked 12th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play. Gilmore racked up 36 total tackles, 18 passes defended and 3 interceptions across 12 games in 2015.
