Tajae Sharpe passes Dorial Green-Beckham on Titans' depth chart

Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Tajae Sharpe has passed Dorial Green-Beckham on the depth chart "for now," according to ESPN reporter Paul Kuharsky.

What It Means:

Sharpe has been getting a ton of work with the first-team offense this spring and continues to do so at minicamp, working with veterans Rishard Matthews and Kendall Wright. Wide receivers coach Bob Bratkowski said Green-Beckham's year away from football in college is playing a big part in his slowed development. "That kind of a gap, it has an effect on them," he said. "It takes time." It's no lock Green-Beckham will be starting come Week 1. He's going to need to step his game up this summer.

Only Green-Beckham surpassed 50.00 Reception Net Expected Points (NEP) for the Titans last year. His 0.80 Reception NEP per target was the only above-average mark on the team among wideouts with at least 50 targets. Matthews ranked fourth in Reception NEP per target among wideouts with at least 60 targets last year with the Miami Dolphins.
