Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Marcus Cooper has been getting safety reps at OTA's.
What It Means:
Cooper is moving to safety after spending his first three years in the NFL as a cornerback. He gives the Chiefs another option behind surefire starting safeties Eric Berry and Ron Parker. Added versatility will improve Cooper's chances of making the 53-man roster.
Kansas City finished the regular season ranked fifth in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play. In very limited time in 2015, Cooper picked up just two total tackles in nine appearances.
