Amari Cooper (core muscle) working with trainers in Browns OTAs

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper (core muscle surgery) was present for OTAs but did not participate.

What It Means:

Cooper reportedly underwent surgery to repair a core muscle injury back in February and was unable to participate in the Browns' early OTA practices, but was present for the events and working with the team's training staff. The Browns acquired Cooper from the Cowboys for a late-round pick ahead of the 2023 season, a move he rewarded the greatly for after his strong first season with the team.

Cooper finished his first year as a Brown with career-bests in receiving yards and touchdowns, with 78 catches for 1,160 yards and 9 scores in his 17 games. He established an early connection with starter Jacoby Brissett near the end zone in the early parts of the season, and did eventually seem to connect with Deshaun Watson by the end of the season. Cooper has finished with under 1,000 receiving yards just twice in his 8 seasons in the league.
