Miami Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake (Achilles) is participating in team drills at OTA's.
What It Means:
Wake is seven months removed from a torn Achilles, but he has progressed ahead of schedule. Barring a setback, he should be fine for the start of training camp.
Miami ranked just 30th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points (NEP) per play in 2015. The Dolphins were 15th in Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP per play but a woeful 31st in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play. In seven games in 2015, Wake recorded seven sacks. He had 11.5 sacks in a full 16-game season in 2014.
