Austin Hooper, Raiders agree to deal
The Las Vegas Raiders and tight end Austin Hooper agreed to a one-year contract.
The deal is for $2.75 million and carries a maximum value of $3.5 million with incentives. The Raiders traded Darren Waller to the New York Giants and Foster Moreau is stepping away from football due to cancer, so Hooper will compete with fellow free-agent signing O.J. Howard for playing time.
Hooper caught 41 passes for 444 yards and 2 touchdowns on 60 targets in all 17 games for the Tennessee Titans last season. He averaged 1.45 yards per route run and had an average depth of target of 7.8 yards.
