Randle has edge over McFadden for Cowboys starting job
Joseph Randle is currently considered the "leader" in the race to replace DeMarco Murray in the Cowboys offense. Behind him is new addition Darren McFadden and injury riddled Ryan Williams.
Randle played well with his limited touches behind Murray last season to rank in the top 16 in Rushing Net Expected Points with 5.44. On the other hand, Darren McFadden was the second worst ranked running back in the NFL with a Rushing Net Expected Points of -22.48. Therefore, Randle should clearly be the lead back entering training camp based on last season. He is on the RB1/2 radar, if he wins the job.
