Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Devonta Smith (groin) is day-to-day after five consecutive missed practices.
What It Means:
After an extended absence with a groin ailment, Philadelphia's second-year wideout is unlikely to suit up for their preseason opener. While Smith saw an impressive 104 targets as their lead receiver during his rookie season, expect Smith to see a decrease in target share behind A.J. Brown in a probable run-first offense. Per Fantasy Football Calculator in 12-team point per reception leagues, the 23-year old's average draft position currently stands in the seventh round.
Smith's 2022 yearly projection includes 70.7 receptions for 838.8 yards and 6.1 touchdowns on 118.4 targets.
