Redskins bolster receiver corps with Josh Doctson
The Washington Redskins selected TCU wideout Josh Doctson with the No. 22 overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
An elite leaper and jump-ball winner with superb body control, Doctson ended his junior year with 80 catches for 1,333 yards and 14 scores. There are very few negative here -- he needs to add some bulk and improve his play after the catch. With Pierre Garcon and Desean Jackson in contract years, Doctson has a chance to be the unquestioned top dog in Washington in 2017, if not sooner.
The presence of Garcon, Jackson and Jordan Reed will allow Washington to bring Doctson along slowly if they wish. Then again, Jackson or Garcon could be released, and Doctson has enough talent to possibly step in and be the go-to guy right away. In dynasty leagues, Doctson will be in the convo as the 1.02 pick in rookie drafts, and it's very unlikely he falls past 1.03.
