Giants' Kadarius Toney (oblique, quad, COVID) expected to play in Week 16
New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney (oblique, quad, COVID) is expected to play in the team's Week 16 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Toney has dealt with a wild number of injuries this season, and is still managing oblique and quad injuries after missing the past four weeks and a stint on the reserve/COVID list. It will be hard to trust the 2021 first-round pick in fantasy this week, but he could see significant targets with Sterling Shepard (Achilles) out for the year.
The Giants are set to start Jake Fromm in Week 16, further lowering the floor of any Giants offensive skill position player. However, Fromm did pepper Shepard with targets from the slot during his fourth-quarter takeover in Week 15, targeting him with four targets in one drive. Toney could benefit from additional slot snaps, and has a $5,300 salary for Week 16. Our models project him for 7.9 fantasy points.
