Lions' Jared Goff enters league's COVID protocols
Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has been placed on the reserve/COVID list.
Goff will enter the league's COVID protocols after testing positive for the virus earlier today. He still has a chance to suit up for the team's Week 16 game if he is able to produce enough negative tests, but this will be a situation to watch as the week progresses.
Goff helped guide the Lions to an upset victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15, putting together his best performance of the season; he went 21 of 26 passing for 216 yards and 3 touchdowns against the former top-seeded team in the league. Tim Boyle could still be next in line at quarterback behind Goff, but performed dismally in his lone start this season.
