Falcons managing Cordarrelle Patterson workload
Atlanta Falcons running back Cordarrelle Patterson is having his workload managed, per head coach Arthur Smith.
“There’s a lot of thought put in,” Smith said when asked about Patterson's usage as a hybrid player. “We do with all our vets. We do what’s best for them. It’s best for the team. That’s where the decision is made with them. It’s a collaborative effort. So some guys at different points in their career, different points of the season ... you have to manage it, and you’ve got to do what’s best you think for the players and for your team.” Patterson hasn't played half of the Falcons' offensive snaps since Week 9 and Mike Davis has been more involved, but he's still seen between 16-18 touches in three straight games. The Falcons are facing the San Francisco 49ers in Week 15.
C-Patt is the RB11 in numberFire's Week 15 fantasy rankings and our models project him for 16.9 touches on Sunday. Mike Davis is projected for 8.5 touches. The 49ers have the No. 11 run defense in our adjusted rankings.
