Austin Ekeler (ankle) officially active for Chargers Thursday night
Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler (ankle) is officially active for Week 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night.
The Chargers are reportedly planning on limiting Ekeler's workload after the running back injured his ankle just a few days ago in an easy win over the New York Giants. Justin Jackson and Joshua Kelley could see a few more touches versus the Chiefs if Ekeler is on a pitch count.
Ekeler has a $15,000 salary on FanDuel's Thursday night slate and numberFire's models currently project him for 12.3 carries and 4.4 catches. The Chargers may focus more on their running game Thursday, as per our adjusted metrics, the Chiefs have the No. 11 pass defense and No. 25 run defense in the league.
