San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell (knee, concussion) did not practice on Wednesday ahead of Week 14's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
What It Means:
Mitchell is in the NFL's concussion protocol, but he is also dealing with knee "irritation" following an MRI this week. Mitchell will need to clear protocol to have a chance of playing against the Bengals. Jeff Wilson Jr. (knee) is dealing with a "flare up" in his surgically repaired knee, further limiting the 49ers backfield. If Mitchell is available on Sunday, our models expect him to handle 20.6 carries and 2.3 receptions.
Mitchell's Week 14 projection includes 93.9 rushing yards, 17.8 receiving yards, 0.82 touchdowns, and 17.2 FanDuel points. His salary is $7,400.
