Cardinals' Kyler Murray to test ankle in Week 9 pregame warmups
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will test out his injured ankle in pregame warmups prior to the team's Week 9 game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Murray appears to be trending in the wrong direction for Week 9, as teams will rarely risk the health of their franchise quarterbacks (as we saw with Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys just last week). If Murray ends up sitting out Sunday's game, Colt McCoy would be the Cardinals' replacement starter.
Even if Murray does play in Week 9, he'll be at risk of further injuring his ankle and could experience limitations to his mobility (lowering his upside as a fantasy option). Our models currently project the star for just 10.3 fantasy points, while FanDuel has set his salary at a more optimistic $8,200.
