Giants' Saquon Barkley (ankle) still in COVID protocols
New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.
Barkley has already had at least one negative PCR result, so he should be able to return to the active roster in time for Sunday's Week 9 game against the Las Vegas Raiders. However, it's not clear whether Barkley will be able to return from his ankle injury. The Giants are on their bye next week, so they may just opt to hold Barkley out until Week 11. Devontae Booker will carry the load again versus the Raiders if Barkley is unavailable.
Booker is the RB13 in numberFire's Week 9 fantasy rankings and he has a $6,300 salary on FanDuel. The Raiders are allowing the third-fewest Adjusted Rushing Net Expected Points per play this season, but they rank just 20th against the pass.
