Curtis Samuel (groin) still not practicing for Washington
Washington Football Team wide receiver Curtis Samuel (groin) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice.
Samuel is expected to miss a few games after he aggravated the groin injury that kept him sidelined for the first three weeks of the season. Terry McLaurin has more than twice as many targets as anyone else on the Football Team, so there's still opportunity for someone to emerge as the clear No. 2 target for Taylor Heinicke. Washington faces the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6.
numberFire's models project McLaurin to lead Washington with 9.7 targets in Week 6, followed by Adam Humphries with 5.0 targets. The Chiefs have the fourth-worst pass defense in the league this season, according to our advanced efficiency rankings.
