Washington 'optimistic' Curtis Samuel (groin, COVID) returns next week
Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera is "pretty optimistic" that wide receiver Curtis Samuel (groin, COVID-19) will practice "sometime next week."
Samuel was activated from the COVID-19 list and PUP list earlier this month, but he's still not ready to take the field. The expectation is that Samuel will be ready for Week 1 versus the Los Angeles Chargers, albeit without many reps with new quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Samuel is the WR42 in numberFire's season-long fantasy rankings and he has a $5,500 salary on the Week 1 slate. Our models project him to record 6.2 targets and 49.1 yards while yielding 8.8 FanDuel points versus the Chargers.
