Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb placed in COVID protocol
Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb has been placed in the league's COVID-19 protocols.
It's unclear right now whether or not Lamb himself has tested positive for the virus, or if he was exposed to it by a close contact. The Cowboys have also added three of Lamb's teammates to the protocol, as well as defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. This will certainly be a situation to monitor as the season quickly approaches.
Lamb (currently the WR15 in numberFire's projections) is expected by many to become one of the 2021 season's top breakouts at the receiver position, so much so that he is already regularly being drafted in the third round of some leagues. If Lamb were to miss any time, expect teammates Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup to see increased workloads, as well as tight ends Dalton Schultz and Blake Jarwin to get a bump in snaps.
