Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase still acclimating to NFL
Cincinnati Bengals 2021 first-round draft pick Ja'Marr Chase has been acclimating to the NFL during the early days of training camp.
Chase was an undeniable star at LSU, helping the team shatter records during their legendary 2019 season with 1,780 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns on 84 receptions. However, his reunion with his former collegiate quarterback Joe Burrow has yet to produce the fireworks from that 2019 season at LSU. Still, with Burrow returning from a tricky knee surgery and Chase returning to football after opting out of the 2020 season, there's no real reason to start worrying about the fifth overall pick of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Much like we saw with CeeDee Lamb in the 2020, season, Chase will have the benefit of playing alongside other respected veterans in Tyler Boyd and second-year Tee Higgins as he acclimates to the league. While volume may be a concern in his rookie season, he can still find fantasy success through the efficient splash plays that he specialized in at LSU. Chase is our WR23 for fantasy this year, and is projected for 152.8 fantasy points.
