'Ball security and drops an issue' for Miles Sanders during Philadelphia's camp
According to Eliot Shorr-Parks, Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders has struggled with ball security and drops during training camp.
Among Philadelphia's apparent offensive struggles through eight practices, Sanders has once again struggled to hold onto the football consistently during rush attempts and pass catching. On 50 targets last season, the 24-year old registered a lowly 33.9 Pro Football Focus receiving rating while also committing eight drops. Expect Philadelphia to utilize a committee backfield approach with Kenneth Gainwell or Boston Scott potentially seeing pass game work if Sanders continues to fumble or drop passes.
For the 2021 season, numberFire's models currently project Sanders to produce 1,064.7 rushing yards and 7.7 touchdowns on 228.9 carries and 42.7 receptions for 368.6 yards and 2.0 receiving touchdowns. Sanders' expected standard fantasy point floor and ceiling stands between 168.1 and 226.9
