Seahawks waive Jesse Williams
The Seattle Seahawks waived defensive tackle Jesse Williams.
What It Means:
Williams spent 2015 on the reserve/NFI list after undergoing cancer treatment last summer. A 2013 fifth-rounder, knee issues wiped out Williams' first two seasons.
Williams has never appeared in a regular-season game. He was purely depth for the Seahawks, who tied for second in the league in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play in 2015 without him.
